I used one of my last pieces of Blue John today.  Its a gorgeous Triangular chunk!! FYI:-

‘Blue John’ or ‘bleu et jaune’ (blue and yellow) is Britain’s rarest mineral, discovered nearly 2000 years ago by the Romans - findings in Pompeii support this as two vases made of Blue John have been unearthed!!!

This beautiful, naturally occurring product of mother nature can not be found anywhere else in the world - only one hill in the most beautiful Derbyshire Peak District.  I love Derbyshire and now I have the perfect reason to return!! - to replenish my Blue John drawer!!!  I have made a few other pieces too!! pics below!!
