Bugs, Schnauzer Rescue and Pendant

I spent yet another day in the garden yesterday I was amongst many of mother natures creatures!!  Lots of Ladybugs, snails, slugs, butterflies..........not forgetting the stow-away spider that hitched a ride indoors in my hair and then plopped onto the floor right in front of my fourteen year old daughter who absolutely detests them!!!! Ha ha ha ha.  Shouldn't laugh really as she is genuinely scared of them, I do however feel that moving out was an extreme reaction!! ha ha  She changed her mind once she smelt the Roast Pork cooking!  All of the creepy crawlies reminded me of some of the wire ones I have created over the last year or so........................

Yesterdays gardening exploits produced lots of salad onions.........

Now washed and ready for pickling.............................................

 and lots of Lavendar.................

which is now tied and ready for drying.

Today I received an email from a Schnauzer rescue whom I have helped in the past.  I haven't helped them for a while and thought it about time I did something again.  The last time I helped we (me and my mum aka Tinkerbells Paws! - Handmade bespoke Pet Settees)  donated a voucher to be converted into a pet settee which we made in the fabric chosen by the happy winner.  You can see the happy recipient here snuggled into their red settee with gold stars!!

'Toby' the Schnauzer with his Aventurine collar and knitted jacket!  Complete with 'lead' to ensure he keeps to 'heel'!!

He was fun to make, the next shall have a thicker wire frame and I shall be experimenting with different stones, maybe decorating the coat!

I love Toby! You did a great job with him. They are great dogs, too. :)I'm with your daughter! I hate spiders! Maybe I would leave AFTER the pork.LOL!

Glenda, You have created some amazing critters. Toby is adorable. I hate spiders too. As a vegetarian, I wouldn't have eaten the pot roast but would have stayed for the veggies and a chat!

Thanks Tela!
I have to say spiders don't do anything for me either! yuk! Funnily enough after she had filled her face she totally forgot about the spider and rushed back upstairs just in case she had missed some life changing events on Facebook! ha ha

Hi Christine!

Thank you!
Shame you don't live nearer you would be very welcome to stop for food - and a loooong jewellery related chat! ha ha ha
My son is vegetarian, unless Md's or Kentucky is in the offing and then he has a temporary lapse!! Bless him he does try (he's only 11!)

OH, I feel stupid. LOL! I usually hear Micky D's or the Arches and the Colonel or KFC. :)

Ha Ha Tela!!

I guess if you said you were nipping to Kentucky it could cause all sorts of confusion! ha ha We also call it MAcky D's (not Micky!)or KFC I haven't heard of the Arches or The Colonel before, I may have a try!! Although we do have a Pub called The Arches not far from us, so that could cause a little confusion - and panic - too as I leave my other half with four children and disappear into the distance!! ha ha ha
